REGIONAL INFO
Destination:
Asian and Pacific Path to Cairns, Australia
Whether cruising the Pacific from South East Asia, Western Pacific or the Eastern Pacific there are a string of island destinations, all superb in their own right, that will leave lasting impressions.
The excellent water clarity and abundance of ocean life are aspects that catch many by surprise: these turquoise waters, teaming with fish, make for incredible snorkeling swimming, diving and fishing.
With more and more Superyachts choosing to visit the South Pacific and Asian regions, the Marina’s are raising their game. Tahiti and Fiji already have large Marina’s, capable of accommodating some of the largest Superyachts with all the standard facilities Yacht Crews have come to expect.
Tonga, New Caledonia and Samoa also have excellent moorings.
The Solomon Islands, PNG, Micronesia, Palau, Guam and Indonesia also offer unbelievable and unexpected cruising. Yachts that have spent time exploring these areas have spent more than their scheduled time because the history, geography and experiences have been superb. Many captains are discovering that water, quality provisions, clean fuel, wifi and power is available in all the regions.
The Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef membership has a long association with our neighbours in all areas and of the Yachts that use Cairns as a hub for these areas. Cairns is ideally suited as a refit, repair and R & R destination, ensuring quality, cost effective work and results, warm weather and fantastic local attractions, not to mention our own exquisite Great Barrier Reef on our doorstep.
