World-class maritime training on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef International Maritime College was officially opened in Cairns on February 25, cementing the city’s position as a world-class centre for marine training. The college is one of the best equipped marine training centres in the southern hemisphere, boasting a full Mission Bridge Simulator, Emergency Response Simulator and an immersion pool, as well as state of the art facilities for Helicopter Underwater EscapeTraining (HUET).

All facets of maritime training will be undertaken at the centre. Marine training includes Superyacht IYT, MCA approved Yachtmaster courses.
